«Captain George», accused of torturing a prisoner an adviser on Arab affairs to the commander of the Israeli police in Jerusalem.


Newspaper «Haaretz», yesterday, he was appointed intelligence officer known as the «Captain George», accused of torturing a prisoner liberated Lebanese Mustafa Dirani, an adviser on Arab affairs to the commander of the Israeli police in Jerusalem. 




She drew the paper that the post of adviser to the commander of the Jerusalem police for Arab Affairs is one of the most sensitive security positions, where the adviser link between the police chief in the area of Jerusalem and the Palestinian public in the occupied city. 
The «Captain George» investigator was working with prisoners in the unit 504 of the Division of Military Intelligence. 


The prisoner Mustafa Dirani, had accused the officer in an Israeli court in 2004 that he ordered a number of soldiers tortured him. Dirani said that Israeli interrogators threatened him that if he said the process of being tortured in front of the doctor, they would repeat the process of torture, noting that the process of torture that lasted a full month. 




In the wake of detection methods of torture adopted by the «Captain George» left the last work in the Israeli army, and worked as an interrogator in the immigration police, and then take up positions in the Division of Investigation, and months before he was appointed adviser to the commander of the Jerusalem police for Arab Affairs. 
Commented on the report of the Israeli police «Haaretz» saying there was no relationship between the appointment of George in his current position and work in the past and «George did everything during the investigation (with Dirani) was legal and under the supervision and knowledge of leaders».
